I'm volunteering this summer at the Buduburam Refugee Camp in South Ghana. FLights are so expensive now! I can't find anything for under 1500 US dollars! anyone know how I can find a cheaper flight?

try air gorilla. com, I was on there a couple days ago and they had airfares around 1100.00 you wont find cheaper then that, I have been looking for 3 months now for my husband to go home for a visit. Good luck with that,

Cheap summer hoildays in Africa?

Jan-9-2009 By admin

I really want to go to Africa this summer.

I dont really want to go to North Africa.

Ive seen cheap hoildays to Gambia which look great. But was wondering if there are other cheap affordable hoilday destinations in Africa.

Im from the UK, I would really like to keep the price under £800 including flights. As ive said ive seen hoildays to Gambia, but would also like to see what else is out there.

We live in the UK and want to go somewhere in Europe with good weather and a beach but the cheapest package deal we can get costs £850 for 4 of us! Our kids our 6 months and 3 years

For the past 4 years, I have booked flights and accommodation separate. I have found this method to be a lot cheaper than travel agents, don't forget they are a business and therefore take their cut from the final price.

I personally use Easyjet for flights, although some prices may still be reasonable for less popular places, you are best booking the flights are the start of the 6 months window.

For accommodation, I shop around on-line for the best price, you would be amazed at the difference in prices.

I tend to check Thomsons, Bedbookers, Alpharooms, Go2Spain, Travelrepublic.

Your best bet is to get a final price for the cheapest date for both flight and accommodation, then before booking, pop into a travel agent and asking them what their price is.

Hope you get somewhere!………

i'm a student, but i don't know if that will help.

any tips or websites?

i don't want to wait too long as the prices are only continuing to rise.
sites claiming to be for students are even worse :s
thanks. i'm from chicago.

i forgot that important detail!

From the UK check out http://www.skyscanner.net

From the US I recommend you jump at any fare that is under 1000 USD if you go in July/August.
