Cheap Ticket Flights

I have researched many travel pages and brochures, trying to find the cheapest flight for a family of 4 to go to America, accomodation is not necessary, can anyone give me details of cheap deals they have had, or any help at all would be very helpful.
I forgot quite an important point there, I would be travelling from Glasgow in Scotland. That would be helpful to know

Short notice, cheap flights etc etc.

I would recommend using something like Expedia.com or Orbitz.com to find flights and airlines. However, I find that alot of the time its cheaper to buy directly from the airline so you may want to find that American Airlines (for example) has the perfect flight for you. THEN purchase your tickets from their website. I hope this helps.

What is usually the cheapest airliner to fly on, around North America?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the cheapest cheapest round trip flight from either, Tulsa, Kansas City, or St.Louis to Manchester in the U.K.

I would be leaving probably June 1st 2009 and return June 6th 2009. I don't even know if I'm going but I want to see Oasis live for the first time (huge, huge, huge oasis fan) from the place they came from.
