Hi, me and my friends are planning to go to tokyo, japan next
september. But we need to find an hotel that is cheap, also a nice place to stay. Also we need to find a cheap flight. please help!

For flights, cheapoair.com or expedia.com or orbitz.com.

For hotels, you can’t beat this site:

http://www.hotelscombined.com?a_aid=781bc64c

I live in Southern Ca and I'm trying to fly a friend down from Oakland or San Fransisco to Ontario Ca. The cheapest I have found are from Southwest Airlines for about $100 round trip but I have heard that I can get a ticket for $50 round trip.. Does anybody know how to go about finding this cheap of a ticket?

How? Sign up for sale alerts with http://www.farecompare.com — enter your cities and click "Find Cheap Airfare."

I also use http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/prego/calendar since it will search multiple airports simultaneously, but it does not do bookings. I searched from OAK;SFO;SJC;SMF to LAX;SAN;ONT;BUR;LGB;SNA for May, and cheapest currently available is $96 round trip–because the taxes are included.

I do recall Jetblue with some $19+tax one ways last year or maybe 2 years ago–that's about the only way you'd get $50rt with tax incl., but haven't seen it that cheap in a long time. According to Farecompare (link below), it was only $44 r/t last July, but with fuel so expensive, I wouldn't bet on it dipping that low again. Sign up for sale alerts there–enter your email where it says "My Trips"–and I think that's the best bet of actually getting anything cheaper that what it is currently.

need to know where i can find a cheap flight from tampa florida to johannesburg south africa? does anyone know

Hello:

Check out http://www.grab2travel.com
Go to Flights section.

Also try to do SmartSearch, which will give you recommendation and click on individual buttons to perform search to compare rates. I like that place… You dont have to go to individual sites and type the same information again and again.. here once you enter you are done to compare….

It depends where you're starting from. Some airlines may not be available from your city. But Spirit Airlines often has shockingly low prices — like a recent $8 sale. I heard from a friend that they even had a $0.01 sale, but I'm not sure about that.
